Sextortion

Numerous people in Switzerland affected – authorities launch "stop-sextortion.ch" against sexual extortion online.
Blackmailers claim in an email to have access to computers and webcams and threaten to publish pictures and videos with sexual content if no ransom is paid. This scam is called fake sextortion and typically requires payment in bitcoins.

What is phishing?

Report phishing to antiphishing.ch

antiphishing.ch, or forward the phishing email to reports@antiphishing.ch. The site is operated by the National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC), which is the Confederation's competence centre for cybersecurity and a contact point for cyberissues..

If you have provided your login details in a phishing attack

If you become aware that you have been victim of a phishing attack, change your password in ktools imedately. If your account has already been used to attack the University, the password may have been reset by the administrator. For accounts where the password has been reset due to phishing: Please scan the computer for malware (full scan). Microsoft Safety Scanner is suitable for Windows.

Are you a victim of computer crime?

If you wish to report suspicious matter on the internet to the Federal Office of Police (fedpol) or are the victim of cybercrime, complete the online reporting form.
