Overview

The aim of the workshop is to provide a forum to critically evaluate the current knowledge and on-going research that addresses plant nutrition relating to organic N. We aim to link knowledge from molecular function of plants to ecosystem processes.

Bringing together leading experts, young researchers and industry representatives from relevant sub-fields, the conference will cover complementary topics to identify advances and remaining questions, and to foster synergies to advance the quest for sustainable nitrogen use.

Second workshop on organic nitrogen

We are looking forward to interesting talks highlighting recent advances, and lively discussions on organic nitrogen in the context of:

  • The circular nitrogen economy
  • Presence and availability in the soil
  • Uptake from the rhizosphere
  • Metabolism and transport to storage organs
  • Regulatory networks at the molecular and global scale
  • Agriculture and bioproduction systems

The conference will be held at Congressi Stefano Franscini (CSF) at Monte Verità, near the lake town Ascona in the Southern part of Switzerland (see venue). It starts on Sunday evening and ends Thursday after lunch, and is limited to 70 participants. We ask you to submit an abstract, which will help us selecting speakers for short talks.
