XVIII INQUA-Congress, 21-27 July 2011 in Bern, Switzerland

Once every four years, Quaternary researchers from all over the world meet at the INQUA (International Union for Quaternary Research) congress to exchange the latest research results and develop agendas for the years to come

The scientific programme was garnished with social events at scenic spots, and with attractive field trips. One of those: High alpine environmental dynamics: Late Quaternary vegetation, climate and land use change in the Bernese Alps.
